A+B=POETRY: THE SCIENCE BEHIND A GOOD POEM WITH ALANA DALY MULLIGAN
A LITTLESS EVENT AGE 10-12
What makes a good poem good? Is it the rhyme scheme, the line length, the subject or the style? Even though poems are made of words, it’s all about clicking the right bits together in order to make a finished piece.
Think about this equation: You + Fuzzy Feelings in Your Heart/Toes = Poem
In this workshop, Alana will guide you through what makes a poem different to other forms of writing when using this formula. Together, we’ll explore different types of poems like haikus, limericks, sonnets and free verse and also learn about rhythm and how important it is for keeping an audience’s attention!
